Why be healthy?

When are bodies are healthy our systems operate together without us having to think about it. When our bodies are not healthy this can be more difficult. People with unhealthy bodies can suffer from a range of different symptoms, from difficulties breathing to their heart beating too quickly.

People can be unhealthy for different reasons. Sometimes they are reasons beyond control, such as catching a disease or having a problem inherited from his or her parents. Age can also take a toll on the smooth running of the different systems in the body.

Other times people are unhealthy for reasons they have more control over. For example, Eating unhealthy food, overeating, not getting enough exercise, drinking too much alcohol and smoking are things which can be detrimental to a persons health and wellbeing.
